27th – Sailing on the Solent
What a fab day! The wind was gusting to 38mph, sea very lumpy, Spring tides and sunny. The 40 ft Cat sped along at a top speed of 12 mph. A bit faster than a 303 or Liberty! There were 9 in the group which included Keith, Peter and Derek all of whom had time on the wheel. Thanks to the Disabled Sailors Association who owns the Cat, John, the skipper, and Michael, the volunteer crew.
31st – Dragon Boat Race
Our enthusiastic team managed a very credible 16th out of 24 teams. A big thanks to all who were in the team – a mixture of volunteers, sons and daughters, friends and Tony from ASPEN. We are one of 2 charities sponsored. The other is Leonard Cheshire.
