The Chipstead Village Dragon Boat Festival was held on the August Bank holiday and for the second year monies raised during the day were divided between the Leonard Cheshire Home and ourselves.Unlike previous years, the sun shone, the racing was spectacular and the crowds managed to drink the Club bar dry!! Andy Clark who is the Chairman of the organising committee arrived on Thursday with a cheque for £1000. It is a fantastic amount and the fact that it was raised by the village makes it even more special. A huge thank you.
